Reflections on 35 Years in the National Park Service: Highlights of Parks and Historical Sites in the Greater NY Area

Randy Turner, recently retired from the National Park Service, has had a fascinating career, working at over a dozen sites in the Northeast, advancing from park ranger to deputy park superintendent and superintendent/manager. The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the General Grant National Memorial (Grant’s Tomb), Thomas Edison National Historical Park and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area are just a few of the sites where he has worked. Please join us for a very interesting evening as Randy recounts stories about the parks he has cared for as well as those he has visited, apart from his work as a park ranger.
