Jacinta Stewart is an Australian artist who returned to live in Brisbane in 2019 after a 17 year residency, teaching and painting, in New York City.

During her time in NYC she was invited to exhibit her ‘Australian Seascape’ series in a solo show at the Australian Consulate, and was also awarded Best of Show at the Arts Student League annual Portrait exhibit.

She has studied advanced painting, drawing and print making at The School of Visual Arts, Hunter College and Arts Student League in NYC, and holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching. 

Her painting ‘Losing Sight’ was a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize 2020.

Her paintings are part of private collections in the USA, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, England and Malaysia.
